About Us
IR was conceived by Mark Pigou of Retail Events, and is a collaboration between:
- Retail Events Limited who created the title and who also organise the annual conference. Retail Events are also responsible for The Retail Business Show, Retail Fraud conference and Blogging for Business.
- St John Patrick Publishers (SJPP), who also publish Screen Media and Digital Display for Retail, publish the print magazine.
- Ian Jindal, an experienced eCommerce professional, consultant and advisor. Ian acted as the Launch Editor and is now the Editor in Chief.
- Marcus Austin is the Web Editor of Internet Retailing. Marcus joined in November 2007. Marcus has written about business and the Internet since the early days of 1995 and was the editor of Internet Works and Business 2.0 UK. He was also recognised by NOP/E-consultancy as one of the top 130 influential individuals in the UK internet industry 1995-2005 and won the Association of Online Publishers Business site of the year 2003 for Startups.co.uk. - Emma Herrod is the Editor of the magazine. Emma joined IR in September 2006 following a career in technology, retail and e-government journalism. Emma is a winner of the BT Technology Journalist of the Year award and recently headed up the content team at Screwfix Direct, one of the UK's leading catalogue and online retailers.
