Yahoo Chairman steps down

It's all move at Yahoo as Chairman and CEO Terry Semel steps down from his day-to-day position. Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang becomes Chief Executive Officer as Semel becomes non-executive Chairman. Susan Decker, formerly Executive Vice President and Head of Advertiser and Publisher Group, has been named as President of the company.

Yahoo has been trying to keep up with rival search engine Google and recent financial results have not been as strong as the company would have liked. The industry is still full of rumours of a deal with Microsoft - but both companies have dismissed reports as speculation.
