eCommerce system provider Shopcreator has added Paypal integration to its offering. Paypal opens additional customer options for younger purchasers, internet-savvy customers and for smaller purchases.

Shopcreator announces PayPal integration

Release Date: 28 July 2006 The UK's leading provider of scalable e-commerce websites, Shopcreator, has today announced that it has integrated its software with the global online payments service PayPal.

The technology integration provides Shopcreator's many hundreds of UK e-tailers with direct access to the payment system, which operates more than 10 million customer accounts in the UK and over 105 million worldwide.

Research has shown that offering PayPal in conjunction with other payment methods can increase conversion rates within online shopping carts by at least 10%, something which will benefit Shopcreator's growing base of customers that range from start-up businesses to household names, such as Sainsbury's and Which?

Andy Kitchener Managing Director at Shopcreator comments, "In order to attain maximum basket conversion rates, it is advised that merchants offer four or more different payment methods. Shopcreator already works with multiple payment service providers and this new collaboration with PayPal provides one-click access to this highly popular and successful payment method."

Carl-Olav Scheible General Manager of Merchant Services, PayPal Europe states, "Our model of no set-up and no monthly fees is just one of the many reasons why leading e-commerce providers like Shopcreator wish to offer PayPal as a payment solution for their merchants. This integration enables us to instantly access UK online retailers, who are using the Shopcreator e-commerce engine to sell goods and services online."
