Play.com is going to the movies in September
Partnership marketing agreement sees the entertainment site's movie-related clothing lines punted to millions of film fans in a month-long blitz...
Play.com will target cinema-goers, 200,000 'Unlimited' club members and some 3m website visitors in a month-long campaign in partnership with cinema operator Cineworld.
Members of Cineworld's Unlimited club, who pay a monthly fee in return for unlimited admission to their local screens, will be offered a 20% discount on clothing — such as Batman and Star Wars t-shirts — and a chance to win computer hardware.
The deal will also be promoted in Cineworld's Unlimited magazine, which boasts a readership of 1.3m, as well as with point of sale material in the chain's 74 multiplexes, in email newsletters and on Cineworld's website.
The partnership marketing agreement was brokered by Cocktail Marketing.
