Offshore hosting offers tax efficiencies
The Isle of Man Government and web host Netcetera will be explaining the tax efficiencies of hosting an e-business on the island to visitors at Internet World.
The Isle of Man Government is holding a seminar on Tax Efficient Hosting as part of the E-commerce & Managed Services Theatre at Internet World (11am, 1 May). The session will be an exploration of the key considerations in choosing the best location for an e-business including taxation, regulation, telecommunications, business infrastructure and government policy. It will also include a discussion of the UK's new Remote Gaming Duty and how it will impact the online gambling and e-gaming industries.
"Companies worldwide who trade online could be saving up to 47.5% total tax on profits by hosting on the Isle of Man and the benefits to shareholders could be significantly more," said Peter Skelton, Managing Director of Netcetera.
