More than half of all adults bought online...

... according to some recently-released research by APACS (the banks' clearing association). 52% of all adults - some 25million people - bought items online last year - an 11% increase on 2004. On the high street only 6% by value of purchases are with a credit card, but online that's 49%. This is an issue for account and credit-led companies since the expectation is that payment is by card.

APAC's interesting press release is available in full on their site.
