ipoints targets offers to members

Online coalition loyalty programme ipoints.co.uk has enhanced its offering by developing Offer Optimiser - members logging on to its site are now recognized and presented with offers which are relevant to their past behaviour.

The home page is the most visited section of the website. On this page members will be shown a selection of offers, which is likely to appeal to them. For example, a customer who has shown an interest in specific electronics in the past will be presented with an offer relating to a series of electrical products. Once they have taken up this offer, they will be given the opportunity to take advantage of any new offers on electronics or complementary goods the next time they login.

Sophie Townsend, Database Marketing Manager at ipoints, says: "We are now able to present members with dynamic content based on demographic profiling and online behaviour. We have around 77 different types of profile data on our members, which is then further ranked according to whether they are likely to buy a product or take up an offer.

"With this information, ipoints can make a decision on whether to show members a specific offer based on their previous activity."
