Internet Retailing 2008 — get a little theatre into your online operations
Fashion has moved online in a big way in 2008. Successful fashion retailers need to appeal to customers' emotions, creating desire and inspiration. Chris Poad, head of ecommerce at Otto UK, will be telling delegates at the Internet Retailing 2008 conference how the firm has addressed the problem and promises to provide some theatrical examples
With its Oli brand in particular, Otto is at the cutting edge of online innovation (see Oli's click-to-buy fashion videos). Chris Poad, Otto UK's head of ecommerce, has been involved in the development of a number of innovative rich media applications in the UK and will be identifying the consumer insight and market trends that triggered these investments, and demonstrating examples of innovative deployment.
Internet Retailing 2008 takes place at the Novotel in Hammersmith, west London, on 7 October. The full conference agenda, along with speaker profiles, is now available online. Places at the free workshop sessions are limited and are first-come first-served — spaces are now getting limited. Online conference delegate and exhibition visitor registration is also now open.
