Slow times at home have been prompting more and more UK online retailers to look overseas for new customers.
In all the excitement international expansion plans can bring, though, it can be easy to forget that overseas retailers face similar issues and are also looking abroad for the next stage of their growth.
And, as the entry into the UK this week of top French online retailer Cdiscount shows, some of them are really very good indeed at what they do — and have their sights set very firmly upon British consumers as the source of their expansion plans.
