BT increases broadband customers
BT broadband users have increased to 3.8 million as the company signs up a larger than expected number of customers in the past three months. Some 126,000 people signed up to Carphone Warehouse's TalkTalk service over the same period, putting the service in third place behind Virgin Media.
The Guardian reports that 175,000 customers signed up for BT broadband during the first fiscal quarter, helping the company achieve a slight rise in revenue and profits.
