[Announcement] RetailGreen - issues and ideas for sustainability in 'green' eCommerce
"RetailGreen is an initiative of InternetRetailing Magazine to challenge and explore issues and opportunities for green and sustainable ecommerce — when set against the drive to increase demand and profits"
RetailGreen has been started as a group on LinkedIn and a sense of community, collaboration and shared exploration and learning will be at the heart of the endeavour.
Taking editorial, news and analysis from the Internet Retailing team RetailGreen will be an occasional newsletter, conference stream for 2009 and other outputs according to the energy of the group.
As with InternetRetailing, the tone of RetailGreen will be that of an enthusiastic sceptic: keen for progress, but looking for real benefits behind any modish hype.
You are invited to join the group by following this link:

Note that existing members of the IR LinkedIn group are pre-approved for membership.
Editorially, RetailGreen will look at the following areas:
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle — lessons for efficiency and saving in sustainable commerce
- The sustainable customer — market pressures on retailers to 'go green'. Following the 'green dollar'
- Profiles of companies and their green activities, tribulations or market positioning.
We look forward to hearing suggestions from you as to coverage and issues. Please send ideas for features and topics to us — editor at internetretailing — as well as volunteering retailers for profiles or case studies/learning points.
