Debenhams rolls out in-store kiosks

Submitted by on September 30, 2011 – 10:25 amNo Comment

Shoppers at Debenhams will soon be able to access its full internet range while they are in the store, thanks to touchscreen kiosks currently being trialled in stores.

Using the Debenhams Extra internet-enabled kiosks, which are expected to be installed in stores across the UK over the coming months, customers will see all Debenhams’ products from every store. They will also be able find out more information about a product they have found in store by scanning its barcode as well as using the kiosks to order items of clothing in different colours of sizes, as well as buying larger items or products that aren’t stocked in store for home delivery.

The kiosks are developed by NN4M, whose director Lorraine Howard said: “The in-store kiosks are really fantastic, offering a mobile experience in store while bringing customer service into the digital age.”

She added: “We believe our team have recognised and responded to growing customer expectations by designing and building the range of in-store kiosks which enables customers to enjoy a seamless multiplatform experience.”

NN4M is a multichannel specialist which has previously designed mobile apps including the Debenhams Beauty Club iPhone app for the retailer and also works for clients including River Island and Karen Millen.
