Home Delivery Network rebrands as Yodel
Yodel is the new brand of the recently-enlarged Home Delivery Network (HDN).
The rebrand follows the Hatfield carrier’s acquisition of DHL’s UK parcels business in March to form a company that delivers more than 200m parcels a year and turns over £600m.
It is now the second largest UK carrier after the Royal Mail, with eight national hubs, 123 service centres and fleet of 5,000 vans.
The service promises to deliver “flexibility and choice that doesn’t currently exist in the market,” with capacity to deliver anything from a small packet to a sofa, in the UK and abroad.
Jonathan Smith, Yodel chief executive, said: “We are delighted to be unveiling this new brand, which represents our ambitions to be a truly customer-focused business, offering a full suite of service that others in the market cannot match.
“The combined business is already growing faster than the market and we are excited about our future potential.”
