Debenhams improves imaging
Department store Debenhams is investing in improved presentation of its products.
Shoppers can now use zoom and alternative views to get close up to products across a range of categories, from children’s clothing to home furnishings, on Debenhams.com.
The imaging technology from Adobe Scene7 is aimed at giving consumers the ability to look at goods in the same detail as they might in-store.
Since the site relaunched in November, sales have shown double-digit growth.
“Customer satisfaction with the new site is up and we’ve had feedback that users love the new ability to zoom in on products and get a much better feel for what they are buying prior to purchase,” said Brett Bennett, Senior Web Manager at Debenhams.
Debenhams also has plans to increase its use of video on the site using Adobe Scene7.
“Independent research by Foresee Results shows that customer satisfaction is key to driving revenues and loyalty, and that the intelligent use of rich media to improve customer experience has the greatest influence on increasing satisfaction levels,” said Sheila Dahlgren, senior director of product marketing at Adobe.
