Amanda Wakeley launches transactional site

Premium women’s fashion designer Amanda Wakeley has launched a new iteration of its website that aims to be a revenue stream as well as a marketing tool.
The site, built by fashion industry specialists Pod1, went live last month — with the ecommerce functionality being turned on last week. The firm’s brief was to overhaul the website with the twin goals of using it as a successful marketing tool and turning it into a revenue stream via an e-commerce functionality.
The site has been designed to educate current and future customers about the brand and its evolution and boasts content including video footage of the latest fashion lines, a blog, a lookbook and exclusive access to Amanda Wakeley, her fashion inspirations and styling advice.
“We’re very pleased to be working with Amanda Wakeley and we’re confident the website will reflect the sophisticated and aspirational tone of the brand,” says Pod1′s Amanda Squires.
The Amanda Wakeley collection is retailed from a flagship store on the Fulham Road, at Harvey Nichols throughout the UK and at Harrods in London. The brand is also represented throughout Europe, America and the Middle East.
