We sell lights, which for technical (type of plug, voltage, etc.) as well as warranty reasons can&#039;t be sold for use outside of the UK.
We only promote our website within the UK, and our shopping cart only offers UK delivery options and only accepts UK delivery addresses.  Yet we frequently get customers from other parts of Europe and the Americas completing the checkout (basically, where it says &#039;city or town&#039; they write &#039;Boston Massachusetts USA&#039;, etc.!).  We then have to refund the money and contact the customer to explain that we really really cannot ship outside of the UK.
I&#039;m sure there are some clever ways of configuring things so that non-UK buyers simply don&#039;t get to the shopping cart, but it seems silly that we should have to go to that length, when of course the great majority of our customers are from the UK.
