Wiggle website goes multi-lingual

Wiggle, the most visited online cycle retailer in the UK, has launched versions of its website in three foreign languages, in response to growing international demand.

Customers visiting Wiggle.co.uk can now choose to view it in Spanish, Japanese or German, with French being added soon. Overseas visitors can also access the site in their language at www.wigglesport.es, www.wigglesport.de and www.wigglesport.jp.

“We ship products to customers in more than 70 countries worldwide so it makes sense for us to talk their language,” says Steve Mills, Wiggle’s web manager. “Shoppers can now choose their language in the Wiggle Worldwide options section, where they can already select destination and currency.”

“We will be continually working on content for the translated versions of the site; it is a very exciting step forward for us,” he explained. “At this stage, virtually all vital elements of the site which enable a customer to make a purchase have been translated. More and more products, categories and site elements will be updated over the coming weeks and months.”

The new foreign language sites are being backed up with advertising campaigns in major cycling magazines in France, Spain and Germany from the end of July.
