Internet Retailing 2009: from Sheds and Shops to Parcels and Post
In a presentation at Internet Retailing 2009 entitled ‘Sheds and Shops to Parcels and Post’, Ian Stansfield, distribution director at Asda Stores, will be exploring some of his experiences whilst developing the Asda Direct fulfilment services for the Asda new business team.
He’ll also be explaining how the development of Asda Direct saw the Asda distribution team entering a very different world in which the customer relationship is very personal and the demands upon the P&L are in constant conflict with this relationship.
To close, Ian will look forward to some of the opportunities that lie ahead for his team and their many partners within this industry sector.
• Internet Retailing 2009 takes place on Tuesday 13 October at the Novotel in Hammersmith, west London. The full conference agenda, along with speaker profiles, is now available online. Conference delegate and exhibition visitor registration is also now open — with a recession-busting early bird offer of only £95 for retailers who sign up by July 1st.
