Get up to speed with m-retailing at the Mobile Retailing conference

Submitted by Sarah Clark on May 13, 2009 – 6:23 pmNo Comment

The Mobile Retailing conference, organised by Retail Knowledge, is a one-day event designed to lift the lid on mobile. The aim is to help retailers understand how the mobile channel is going to impact on the way they reach their customers through this latest and most intimate of channels — a channel that is here now, ready and open for business.

This third outing of the Mobile Retailing event illustrates the exceptionally strong interest from retailers, and their agencies, in understanding much more about the potential of the mobile platform as a marketing tool, and more importantly what mobile commerce means for the retailing industry today, say the organisers.

Key stats include:

  • Tesco currently has over 250,000 unique visitors per month to its mobile retailing portal
  • Gartner research suggests two tier one retailers will claim 20% of their purchases are influenced by mobile retailing by the end of this year
  • The leading mobile retailing exponents in the US are already generating over $1M in sales per month though their mobile retailing channels

Mobile Retailing takes place on 3 June at One Great George Street in Westminster. Delegate places cost £275. Further information and an online registration form can be found at the Mobile Retailing website.
