Asos has signed a major new delivery contract with Home Delivery Network Limited (HDNL), which is now the UK’s largest dedicated home delivery and collection service following its separation from the Littlewoods Shop Direct Group in May 2008.

“We needed a service that had the capability to provide a consistent, visible home delivery experience,” explained Stuart Hill, Asos’s head of customer logistics. “HDNL’s Track and Trace system is a real advantage as it allows parcel visibility to our customers.”

“We were also impressed by their branded delivery team who will be representing and upholding the Asos brand,” Hill added.

Under the new contract Asos is using HDNL’s Monday to Friday 48 hour delivery service and its Monday to Saturday next day service. Saturday deliveries are being offered by Asos to its customers at no extra charge.

HDNL chief executive Brian Gaunt commented that “Asos’ continued success is built upon giving the customer what they want and we hope our service offering, in particular the next day delivery option, will support their overall proposition for ‘fast fashion’. Already we are building a strong relationship with the company.”
